Become a FFNC Umpire

At FFNC we value the importance of our umpires and understand they keep the game safe, fair and enjoyable for everyone.

Our club is growing in 2026, and we are looking forward to welcoming back our umpires from previous seasons as well as new umpires to the club to support our growth. We are also wanting to expand our umpire coaches pool so that we can continue to develop and mentor FFNC umpires.

You don't need to play for FFNC to umpire for us. If you are keen to join us, please apply.

Umpire development

At FFNC we are committed to supporting and developing our umpires. We have a number of Club Umpire Coaches that will be providing regular coaching and mentoring for our umpires.

We are also keen to support umpires that would like to work towards their C badge.

For more information about umpiring at FFNC please contact our Umpire Coordinator.

Not qualified yet?

Keen to umpire, but not yet qualified? The Perth Netball Association is running “Netball Rules Workshops” during the April, July and October school holidays. This is your first step towards becoming an Umpire.

For more information and to register please check the PNA website.

Umpire details form

All FFNC umpires are paid via Direct Debit. All Umpires must also comply with the PNA Working With Children rules.

To facilitate payment of umpiring fees and the WWC obligations, all FFNC umpires must complete a form for administration purposes.

Umpires must only complete this form if they have been assigned a team (or game) to umpire during the season.

Please refer to this WWCC Self-Assessment Guide to determine your WWC status (if you don't already have a WWC card).

Umpire ATO Statement by a Supplier form

Umpires are not recognised as 'employees', instead they are recognised as 'suppliers'. To facilitate the payment of our umpires WITHOUT deducting withholding tax, an ATO form must be completed by the umpire, signed and emailed to the club for our records.

This form is called a Statement by a Supplier.

Umpires must only complete this form if they have been assigned a team (or game) to umpire during the season.

When completing this form, please tick the option to indicate that 'the supply has been made in the course or furtherance of an activity done as a private recreational pursuit or hobby'.

Please complete the form, sign, scan and email to our Treasurer. The form does not need to be sent to the ATO.

Click here for a copy of the form.
