Inspire, Lead, and Grow the Love for Netball!

Floreat Force Netball Club is looking for passionate, skilled, and dedicated coaches to guide and mentor our teams for the upcoming season. Whether you're an experienced coach or ready to take on a new challenge, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking coaches for our teams in the Junior Year 7/8, Junior Year 9-12 and Senior competitions.

Why Coach with Us?

  • Develop Future Talent: Help shape the next generation of netball players by providing leadership, knowledge, and enthusiasm.
  • Supportive Community: Be part of a vibrant and supportive club with a history of success and teamwork.
  • Opportunities for Growth: Access to professional development, workshops, and opportunities to enhance your coaching skills.
  • Positive Club Culture: Work with motivated athletes eager to learn and succeed, from grassroots players to competitive teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for Netball: Coaches who love the game and want to share that passion.
  • Commitment: Availability for training sessions, games, and club events throughout the season.
  • Team-First Attitude: We value coaches who prioritise player development, team culture, and positive sportsmanship.
  • Experience or Willingness to Learn: We are looking for experienced coaches or new coaches who are prepared to complete the Netball WA Coaching Foundation course prior to the season commencing.

Coaching Benefits

  • Coaching Development: Opportunities for further coaching certifications and learning.
  • Club Support: We provide our coaches with resources, equipment, and a network of experienced mentors.
  • Recognition: Acknowledgment at club events, awards, and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on players' lives.
  • Subscription to a Netball Drills App: Access a professional app to assist with planning engaging and effective training sessions.
  • Free Hoodie or Waterproof Jacket: All new coaches receive a free Floreat Force hoodie or waterproof jacket to keep you warm and comfortable on and off the court.
  • Coaching Fee: Coaches are eligible to receive a seasonal payment starting from approximately $500, depending on the age group being coached and the coach’s experience and accreditations. Some coaches could earn around $1000 for the season. Fees are fixed for the season and paid in two installments: one at the start of the competition rounds and another halfway through the season.

Training and Game Day

Season Timeline:
The winter netball season kicks off in early March when teams are announced (after grading), and coaches are assigned. Training starts in mid-March, and the competition begins in early May, coinciding with the first week of Term 2 after the school holidays. The season runs for 14 rounds, with finals taking place from late August to early September.

Training Schedule:

Training sessions take place every Tuesday, with times varying depending on the team being coached. Sessions range between 4pm and 8pm and are held at Matthews Netball Centre in Wembley.

Game Day:

Games are scheduled on Saturdays, also at Matthews Netball Centre, with game times varying between 8am and 5:30pm, depending on the age group and division. Generally, younger players will compete earlier in the day, while older players take to the court later. Game times are managed by the Perth Netball Association.
